- Readme Notes for 4D-BBS V2.92 December 31, 1993
- ------------------------------------------------
-
-
- This version now includes a new installer script. The installer script
- requires the source of the installation to be from a path called
- "4D-BBS_Install:". This means either the floppy must be named
- "4D-BBS_Install" or you need to assign 4D-BBS_Install: to the directory
- where the installation source files and directories may be found are found.
-
- If you do no have the Commodore Installer program, you will need to either
- copy it from another software package which does have it or download it
- from a BBS (it is on the CornerStone Software support BBS). If the
- Installer program is not in your path, highlight the install icon, and use
- information from Workbench to change the path of the default tooltype to
- point to where Installer is located at on your system.
-
- The default setup uses a couple of assigns. Namely these are File:, Text:,
- and Boards:. YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE THESE ASSIGNS BEFORE RUNNING THE BBS OR
- YOU WILL GET A REQUESTOR WHEN USING SOME PARTS OF THE BBS. To avoid this
- run b_ed and fcl_ed and change the paths of the default sections to point
- to where you wish the files for each section to be stored. The Text:
- assign is in several of the menus, and you will need to change them to an
- explicit path if you wish to get rid of the text: assign. It is normally
- easier to just add an assign for it in your S:User-Startup or the StartBBS
- script.
-
- Any questions or concerns of this software may be directed to
- daler@crnstn.spk.wa.us over the internet, or on the Support BBS
- leave mail to Sysop (509-924-3253, 509-924-3288).
